NQ front-month futures — Nasdaq-100 futures. NQ leads ES in tech-heavy tape. When NQ moves harder than ES, tech is driving the day.
VIX
—
Volatility Index — 30-day implied vol on SPX options. Under 20 = calm. Over 25 = stressed. Contango (VIX < VIX3M) means no immediate fear priced in.
Net GEX
—
Net Gamma Exposure — the sign tells you dealer positioning. Positive = they buy dips and sell rips (calming). Negative = they hedge with the move (accelerating trends and vol).
Gamma Flip
—
Regime boundary — the price level where dealer gamma flips sign. Above flip = calm range regime. Below flip = trending, volatile regime. One of the most-referenced levels on institutional desks.
